Job Summary: The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations for the EAST, WEST, and Hillsboro manufacturing sites including off-site warehouses, ensuring efficient inventory management, compliance with safety and quality standards, and timely movement of goods. This role leads a team of warehouse staff, managing hiring, training, performance, and professional development.  The Manager fosters a culture of accountability, drives continuous improvement, and ensures operational excellence.  This role ensures inventory accuracy across all locations by executing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and keeping physical inventory aligned with the Warehouse Management (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. It also manages the timely receipt and shipment of materials across all warehouse locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the raw materials and finished goods warehouses (internally and externally) and its personnel, ensuring that the warehouses are maintained in a safe operating condition and a food safe environment appropriate for the storage of refrigerated processed cheese products  Ensures that Warehouse is shipping and receiving materials timely and maintaining alignment between physical stock, Warehouse Management (WMS) and Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) systems. Follow established guidelines to create, administer, analyze, and report on all cycle counts and physicals as well as the perpetual inventory of the organization. Manages and directs the development of all Warehouse processes and systems.  Maintains strong attention to material utilization, process flow, cycle time, Lean manufacturing and inventory control. Responsible for all SOP’s within the Warehouse function.  Create and maintain all SOP’s with respect to Warehouse.  Periodic auditing and review may also be necessary to ensure the sustainability and reliability of these processes. Accountable for the documentation and approval process of all inventory disposals and adjustments. Responsible for maintaining system accuracy for all inventory including 3rd party warehouses and managing adjustments and scrap according to guidelines established by Ornua business best practices. Monitor, resolve, and report all slow and obsolete inventories.  Lead employees using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning  Supervision, including employee hiring and retention, performance review and discipline  Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment  Ensure security of warehouses (doors sealed, lights in working order, docks plates and levelers in good condition)  Provide training and oversees other training to ensure all employees are trained properly.  Ensure safety training all other job -related and compliance training is completed.  Track absenteeism, time-keeping, and safety violations  Schedule trucking of incoming raw materials shipments and outgoing finished product shipments using commercial and customer/supplier designated carriers. Verify driver identification against driver identification files  Inspect trucks for appropriate sanitary conditions on all incoming and outgoing shipments. Fill out inbound/outbound inspection documentation  Ensure seals are placed on all out-going shipments and ensure seals are intact on in-coming shipments. Prepare Bill of Ladings inclusive of product information, common carrier information, seal number and temperature requirement  Seek the composite best freight rates and service profile when scheduling common carriers. Negotiate lower rates where possible  Manage shipments and associated inventories between OINA and outside warehouses.  Ensure that COAs accompany customer orders when requested.  Attend Management Safety Meetings  Conduct or oversee appropriate Risk Assessments for the Warehouse department  Assist with appropriate Accident/Incident Investigations and Right-to-Refuse Investigations  Conduct a monthly Safety Inspection  Investigates continual improvement opportunities based on employee suggestions and relevant legislation  Serve on the Change Advisory Board  Other duties as assigned    Required Skills and Abilities: A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others  Employee training and development.  Measurement of performance to goals and standards.  An ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.  Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles safely and competently  Basic Food Hygiene Certification  Complete knowledge of OINA CCP    Excellent analytical, and organizational skills  Excellent verbal/written communication skills  Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to work with individuals from different disciplines  Must be able to coach, mentor, train and lead multiple employees across multiple shifts  Must be able to effectively train individuals and monitor compliance  Excellent problem-solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions and act upon them  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously  Ability to work independently or in a team environment  Numeracy, literacy and communication abilities  Strong understanding of CI philosophies  Understanding of Cross Department Disciplines (Quality/Technical/Engineering/Warehouse/Supply Chain)  Ability to lead a team in a fast paced environment  Competency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system  Competency with Warehouse Management Systems and Management Execution systems (WMS/MES) Proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, in-house business systems  Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information  Ability to understand the workings of Cross Department Disciplines (Quality/Technical/Engineering/Warehouse)  Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools Provide effective leadership: promote teamwork, and a demonstrated ability to lead people to get results   Effective time management and organizational skills Work independently as well as in a team environment Analytical and problem-solving skills Maintain confidentiality Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries     Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree in Business, Warehouse Management or other related field, or equivalent work experience is required  5+ years experience managing warehouse and trucking logistics, ideally for a food company    EQUIPMENT: Microsoft TEAMS Land line / cell phone Computer Scanner/fax/printer Forklift   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sit in a stationary position up to 80% of workday. Constantly operates a computer, phone and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc. Climb stairs/ladders. Communicate verbally with employees and customers. Vision requirements include reading computer screens, identifying colors, and anticipating employees and visitors.
