Description
As a Warehouse manager  you will engage with both Site and Project Managers to ensure that each site has the necessary equipment it requires to carry out the project delivery. Ensuring everyone has a visual guide of what each site and warehouse/container holds. You will engage with Red Bear and General Contractors to ensure the safe insertion and removal of any plant and materials where necessary to ensure smooth running of the project with compliance and Health and Safety as part of the agenda. Together with Senior Project Managers you will ensure to prioritise the order of tasks that need to be completed. You will be accountable for all site deliveries that arrive by means of maintaining and managing a project stock tracker that provides clarity on stock levels and location of material at all times. You will be accountable for working with the site team to check requisition forms and liaise with procurement to ensure all equipment has been accounted for and any shortfalls reported within 24 hours. You will ensure all deliveries are checked in and accurate against the delivery note. Once deliveries are received you will scan and send proof of delivery to the project team along with GRN completion on the dedicated ERP system. Together with site and project managers you will maintain a robust and accurate register of  Plant on hire and will be responsible for the retention of all Plant documentation to ensure each item of equipment is compliant with the clients direction. Tracking when plant/equipment should be hired and off-hired in a timely fashion will be a key responsibility for the Warehouse manager and dedicated Logistics team. Accurate and detailed publication of company assets by way of a register is a key focus point to ensure location management and calibration dates are maintained. The  scope  of  projects  we  are working on range from small to large and each site will require different logistical support. You will liaise with the relevant site and project managers as to what the support they will need in the near future to allow you to plan for providing this support but not at the detriment to other projects. You will also be required to liaise with all hire companies that each site are using to ensure they are aware of our needs to allow them to facilitate this in a timely manner. You will take responsibility for receiving and tracking of all PPE to ensure each site has its own stock and you have reserves ready for resupply. Further to this you will ensure all lifting equipment, fall protection and tools are logged into both a live file and a hard file to ensure in case of incidents we can show compliance with reference to dates and inspection data. Actively manage and take ownership of the procurement schedule and requisition forms. Keep these up to date and maintained as well as to coordinate with the procurement and project management team. * Inventory Control: Regularly conduct material inventory checks to prevent shortages or excess. Management of the Surplus material register and Asset tracker register. * Review current material inventory levels and advise reorder as needed to the project manager(s). * Liaise with suppliers and Procurement to track order status and communicate any delays. * Analyse material consumption patterns and discuss accordingly with procurement and the project manager. * Identify and implement Logistics strategies to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness Transportation and Distribution * Route Optimization: Weekly analysis of transportation routes and laydown areas to minimise costs and improve efficiency. * Delivery Coordination: Daily coordination of material deliveries to align with construction schedules and warehouse capabilities. * Analyse transportation routes and on/off site laydown areas for efficiency and propose adjustments. * Coordinate with transportation providers to confirm schedules and resolve any potential issues. * Conduct a cost analysis of transportation methods and propose optimizations. * Review and update the transportation plan based on project changes. * Respond promptly to any unexpected transportation delays or issues and ensure stakeholders are kept informed Site Layout and Organisation * Layout Planning: Develop and update the construction site layout to optimise workflow. * Space Allocation: Monthly review and adjustment of space allocation for materials, equipment, and work areas. * Collaborate with Health and Safety Managers to ensure any layout changes adhere to safety standards. Equipment Management * Maintenance Oversight: Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of construction equipment. Including, not limited to MEWPS, chop shops, testing equipment, safety kit and Red Bear assets. * Deployment Planning: Plan and schedule the deployment and movement of equipment as per project requirements. Workforce Coordination * Schedule Coordination: Weekly coordination meetings to align workforce schedules with project timelines. * Labour Allocation: Monthly assessment of labour needs and allocation to different tasks. * Evaluate logistics workforce productivity and propose additional training or adjustments as needed. Safety Compliance * Safety Audits: Conduct weekly safety in support of the HSE manager(s) audits to ensure compliance with regulations. * Training Programs: Monthly organisation/application of safety training sessions for on-site personnel. Communication and Coordination * Stakeholder Meetings: Weekly meetings with project manager(s) and project stakeholders to discuss logistics.
