Robertson Electric is currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our branch in Vaughan.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years’ experience working in a warehouse
  • 1 year of Wire & Cable Product knowledge is required
  • Ability to map out a warehouse
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Responsible and extremely reliable
  • Completion of High School
  • Proven warehouse supervisory experience
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities
  • Maintains distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing programs, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in shipping, receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
  • Measure and provide feedback on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
  • Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
  • Maintain accuracy in inventory and outgoing shipments
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload
  • Provide assistance as needed to internal customers to answer questions or solve problems
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees
  • Ensure new and current employees are trained properly on all equipment
  • Maintains all records for the warehouse including: training, maintenance, pre-starts
  • Responsible for ensuring equipment is in good working order, locking/tagging out when needed, calling for service etc.
  • Perform daily meetings to discuss priorities, safety (hazard) issues and encourage staff feedback
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse
  • Ensures warehouse is set up in an efficient manner to ensure optimal workflow and maintains inventory locations
  • Reports incidents and health and safety issue in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned
