Description

Romac Logistics are currently recruiting for Warehouse Manager to join our busy team in Middleton, Manchester. The shift pattern for this role will be Monday to Friday, flexibility will be required to cover holidays which may mean working some weekends.
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse operation. The main purpose of the role is to support the General Manager to achieve the depot revenue and profit in line with the annual budget set, by the efficient use of all resources.
Ensure risk is effectively managed through compliance with all company policies including Health and Safety as well as operating within legal and regulatory requirements. This includes but not limited to BRC and current Health & Safety Legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of warehouse and transport operations in a management capacity.
  • Operational knowledge of chilled / food logistics (Desirable).
  • Budget Management & cost control experience.
  • Experienced People Manager.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and WMS packages.

Responsibilities
  • Management of the warehouse team both directly and through the shift managers and support where necessary.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, assigning daily/weekly tasks to direct reports and ensure their completion and that goals are achieved.
  • Manage the WMS system and ensure all staff are trained in its use.
  • Ensure WMS is accurate and up to date at all times with accurate stock records
  • Build and maintain the customer relationship on site.
  • Along with the Site Manager you are responsible for process design and daily delivery for inbound, pick and outbound operations.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are implemented and adhered too in line with BRC accreditation requirements.
  • Implement and monitor the achievement of business KPI’s and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Carry out regular daily / weekly stock checks to ensure accuracy in the reporting to customers.
  • Ensure absence, performance and other HR issues are managed professionally and cases are escalated to your manager / HR where required.
  • Co-ordinate staff recruitment ensuring we recruit the most suitable applicants and ensure inductions / probationary reviews are completed.
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
  • Be responsible for the inventory management and stock control.
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values.
