Physical capability to perform warehouse dutAbout the role

The Warehouse Manager coordinates the day-to-day activities of our warehouse team, leading them to hit operational targets across safety, inventory accuracy, order fulfilment and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be on the floor setting the standard, coaching your team, and owning the numbers that show whether the warehouse is performing — not just reporting on them after the fact.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a strong safety-first culture across the site.
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse and distribution operations to consistently achieve operational KPI targets.
  • Drive performance across DIFOT, inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, pallet control and scanning compliance.
  • Lead, coach and develop warehouse team members, building capability through mentoring and training.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS policies, operational procedures and company controls.
  • Maintain food safety and stock rotation standards across the warehouse, including FIFO/FEFO practices, pest control and hygiene requirements consistent with our Halal, Kosher and SQF/GFSI certifications.
  • Manage stock control processes, including cycle counts and variance analysis.
  • Own the maintenance, safety and servicing of warehouse equipment and assets — including forklifts/MHE and racking — coordinating contractors and inspections as required.
  • Build strong working relationships with freight providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.
  • Keep the warehouse areas neat and organised at all times.

About you

  • 5+ years' experience in warehouse or distribution operations, including at least 2–3 years in a team leadership or supervisory role, ideally within FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • A genuine safety-first mindset, with solid working knowledge of WHS obligations and experience embedding compliance on the warehouse floor.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team, and to hold people accountable to KPI targets.
  • Experience managing warehouse KPIs such as DIFOT, inventory accuracy and order fulfilment, with the data literacy to report on and improve them.
  • Understanding of food safety and stock rotation practices (FIFO/FEFO) in a certified food manufacturing or FMCG environment — exposure to Halal, Kosher or SQF/GFSI standards highly regarded.
  • Experience with stock control processes, including cycle counts and variance analysis.
  • Experience managing warehouse equipment and assets, including forklift/MHE fleets and racking safety compliance.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable building relationships with freight providers and cross-functional stakeholders.
