As Warehouse Manager you’ll be responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, you’ll manage people, processes, logistics and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
Experience with IT based stock systems is crucial and as we continue to grow our manufacturing capabilities, detailed knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma production and methodology will be needed in this role. A key focus and experience of creating efficiencies and delivering continuous improvements is vital.
You will be self-motivated, highly organised and adaptable. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure our customers get the very best service.
Leading and inspiring your team, critical decision making and driving operational excellence are key.
You’ll also be responsible for helping to lead and support workplace health and safety standards and for the security of the warehouse and stock held on site.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management – Utilising our IT platforms, overseeing stock levels and ensuring accurate records to prevent overstocks and out of stocks on key componentry including regular stock checks and annual stock takes.
Process Improvement Management - Key understanding of analysing, optimising and redesigning business processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and improve overall performance
Goods in and out – Managing incoming shipments and outgoing deliveries to ensure timely and accurate processing
Team management - Lead warehouse operatives, workload allocation, monitor performance and productivity, complete reviews and appraisals and provide training. Collaberate with senior leadership to drive and support operational and customer excellence
Logistics Co-ordination Work with freight hauliers to ensure the successful booking and delivery of goods to site.
Manufacturing Support – Working hand in hand with our production team to ensure we deliver a frictionless customer experience through close and careful coordination and communication
Safety & Compliance – Shaping and enforcing health, safety and security policies, manage risk assessments and conduct regular safety inspections
Space Optimisation – Design efficient warehouse layouts and ensure effective use of space
