Description Job Description – Greeneville, TN Location WAREHOUSE MANAGER INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Tennessee Plant Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. WAREHOUSE MANAGER – Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the perpetual inventory through cycle counting and material handling process improvements. Additionally, this position is responsible for the physical organization and product flow in internal and external warehouses. This position is normally expected to report on first shift (M-F 7:00am-4:00pm). Additional hours and days including weekends may be required. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Include, but are not limited to: Maintain cycle count program as outlined by JOST BP. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies including root cause analysis and process improvements. Act as backup to Logistics Manager as needed. Assist Warehouse, Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing, Planning and Production personnel with inventory related issues Analyze inventory/material handling procedures and recommend changes to improve inventory accuracy. Supports production scheduling, shipments, internal material flow while directing material handlers and clerks, for all shifts based on the production schedule. Provides material availability and inventory level information necessary to maintain On Time Delivery. Enforcement of the 5S and LEAN housekeeping initiatives. Leadership and management duties to include employee reviews, disciplinary forms, employee training program as well as working closely with Human Resources for employee satisfaction and retention. In charge of continuous improvement processes within the department to encourage innovative ideas ensuring best practices are executed. Participates in corrective action/problem solving teams to address root cause issues for long term solutions. Participates in internal audits including: ISO14001, IATF and other internal and customer-focused Business Process audits Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: Minimum ten (10) years of previous experience in a multi shift, manufacturing or distribution environment in a Production Planner, Inventory Control Manager or Supervisor, capacity. A background in automotive or heavy truck preferred. Ability to work independently; must be comfortable in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Profound logistics background. Practical and solid experiences with SAP or similar ERPs. Hands on experience in lean manufacturing methods, problem solving, best practice production systems. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills and be self-motivated with propensity to lead by example. Ability to bring forth continuous improvement ideas and implement where appropriate. Working knowledge of MRP systems; SAP, and advanced skills Microsoft Office; Excel, Word. Willingness to travel approximately up to 5% annually. Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is generally performed in a production plant 10 % of time, 40 % in an office & 50 % in a warehouse setting. While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
