Description Due to our continued growth, Wright Manufacturing, Inc. (WMI), an award winning producer of commercial grade lawn equipment, is looking to add a Warehouse Material Handler/ Inventory Associate to our Internal Logistics Team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, earning overtime at time and one half for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm. Occasional work on Saturdays may be needed as work flows dictate. *Opportunity for overtime is available but not guaranteed Primary Duties to include: · Pick and transport all required material from warehouse racks around the Plant and supply various assembly line stations to support the production of our products; using utility carts, specialty product carts, platform trucks, etc. to move product from place to place. · Crosstrain to learn other assembly lines and duties, in addition to your main zone, in order to help provide emergency coverage. · Alert Inventory Control of any low inventory items/ issues with delivery systems, and work together to form a plan of action to support assembly. · Assist in all FIFO inventory processes. · Assist in all 5S Lean Methodology (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) · Assist with special projects and rework as necessary. · Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement; Contribute to and participate in Kaizen projects to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost. Requirements Qualified candidates for the role of Warehouse Material Handler/ Inventory Associate should be able to demonstrate: • Strong attention to detail • Consistent work history • Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled • Ability to work in a moderate to high noise level environment • Excellent attendance record • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance • Positive, team player attitude • Strong, independent work ethic • Good organizational skills WMI is committed to cross-training and inter-department personnel movements.
