Richelieu Hardware is looking for a Warehouse Operator for the Surrey, B.C.

More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to:

  • Warehouse Person
  • We are part of a large corporation, but we are a small segment of their overall business. Our growth potential is enormous over the next ten years and we are building a team to get us to that point.   • Our warehouse (and operation) is a fast-paced hub especially spring, summer, and fall. We have expanded into a much larger space in the same area. With this expansion will come more opportunities for employees to grow with the organization.
  • We need a warehouse person who either has experience, or is comfortable with learning all facets of warehouse distribution and the knowledge of how to do that safely. Computer skills are a must for the right candidate. Experience with shipping and receiving procedures is a an asset. This could lead to a leadership position if the candidate can demonstrate the experience and positive attitude required for this role.

REQUIREMENTS :

High school degree or equivalent.

  • Strong spelling and math skills
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre, with knowledge of shipping, receiving and safety practices is an asset.
  • Excellent at communicating over the phone.
  • Computer literate and comfort with online shipping programs and receiving software.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Customer-focused for positive customer experience and resolution when required.
  • Exquisite communication and people skills
  • Previous leadership experience an asset.
  • Forklift certification, WHMIS, TDG and first aid are all assets.
