Location: Houston, TX Safe Fleet a leader in the truck equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for a Warehouse Material Handler to work as part of a team. Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our operations team. This individual will be responsible for picking and packing items, scanning inventory into the database, assembling simple components, and preparing shipments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Key Responsibilities: Accurately pick and pack items according to pick sheets, build lists, or customer orders. Scan and record items into the inventory management system or database. Prepare, label, and ship outgoing orders in a timely and organized manner. Follow written instructions to assemble simple components such as hardware kits, metal shelves, or metal racking. Safely and effectively use simple hand tools and cordless tools for assembly tasks. Assist other team members in tasks that require two people to complete safely or efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing incoming shipments. Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards. Communicate any inventory discrepancies or damaged items to the supervisor. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a warehouse, assembly, or distribution environment is a plus but not required. Ability to read and follow pick sheets, build lists, assembly instructions, and shipping guidelines accurately. Basic computer skills for inventory scanning and data entry. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, move, and carry items up to 50 lbs regularly.
