Description:

  • Audit and Track inventory flow through the ERP software for accuracy and conduct Inventory Discrepancy investigations and provide resolution as needed.
  • Conduct an annual inventory as determined by outside auditors. Conduct monthly and on-request cycle counts.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives to coordinate shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Work with the Production Department to support material pulled from the warehouse to prepare materials and correctly move them within our ERP system prior to transfer to the production cell.
  • Work cooperatively and professionally with DECI staff, clients and other business contacts. Maintain good public relations with customers and professional contacts.
  • Direct staff in the Warehouse and Inventory Control.
  • Develop, coordinate and track project list activities.
  • Understand, interpret, follow, audit and ensure business unit compliance with the ISO 9001 quality management system. Initiate and promote business unit quality improvement efforts.
  • Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of Warehouse and Facility operations, quality, reliability and work safety.
  • Coordinate, supervise and train subordinates to utilize their individual skills to maximize results.
  • Complete departmental evaluations and approve time for staff in a timely manner.
  • Recommend and participate in staff development activities to support development and increase morale.
  • Handle personnel issues among staff.
  • Use computer skills to inter-relate various PC and mainframe functions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Advanced studies or degree preferred.
  • Five years successful work experience in a related industry, supervisory experience.
  • Initiative and leadership abilities are important traits for this position, along with a responsibility to deadlines and other subcontract job demands.
  • Good organizational skills, the ability to work cooperatively with staff, and an interest in addressing the needs of disabled persons are assets.
  • Knowledge of work area lay-out, job set-up and production scheduling. Good math, reading, writing and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to carry, move or lift at least thirty-five pounds; bend; climb; couch; kneel; stoop and walk.
  • Customer service mentality and ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of warehousing and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work cooperatively with all levels of individuals. Ability to provide conflict resolution and remain unbiased.
  • Initiative and leadership abilities are important traits for this position, along with a responsibility to deadlines/other job demands and ability to deal with various projects effectively and efficiently.
  • Detailed-oriented, strong organizational skills; ability to maintain easy accessibility to records & information.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varied requests and interrupted schedules

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills: Exceptional computer experience. Experience with Microsoft Office environment (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Inventory Management Software.
