PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position Warehouse Operations Graduate on an initial 2 year contract, reporting to Regional Head Of Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager. JOB SUMMARY:

Portwest is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Warehouse Operations Graduate to join our team. This structured 2-year development program is designed to provide hands-on experience across all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring you gain the skills and knowledge required to progress into a leadership role.
By the end of the program, you will be equipped with the expertise needed to be considered for deployment to a site as a Warehouse Operations Manager.

YEAR 1: CORE OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Inbound & Receiving: Learn stock intake processes, quality control checks, and system updates.
  • Inventory Management: Gain experience in stock control, audits, and warehouse management systems.
  • Order Fulfilment: Work within picking, packing, and dispatch to understand efficiency and accuracy in distribution.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Understand regulations, best practices, and how to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing operational efficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are seeking a driven and ambitious graduate who is eager to build a career in warehouse and logistics management. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • A strong interest in warehouse operations and distribution.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership potential.
