WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS LEAD

The Warehouse Operations Lead is responsible for executing and supporting daily warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency, quality control, and compliance with client requirements. In addition to performing warehouse functions, this role includes training new and existing team members on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and workflow best practices. The Warehouse Operations Lead plays a key role in maintaining consistent performance, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Prior warehouse experience, preferably in a 3PL or logistics environment.
· Experience training or mentoring warehouse staff preferred.
· Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic IT skills for inventory tracking.
· English fluency required
· Spanish fluency preferred

Responsibilities

· Operational Execution:
o Perform and support daily warehouse functions, including order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and storage.
o Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and client-specific requirements.
o Assist in workflow organization to minimize bottlenecks and maintain productivity levels.
o Identify and escalate any operational issues or inefficiencies to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager.
· Training & Knowledge Sharing:
o Train new and existing employees on warehouse processes, SOPs, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
o Conduct hands-on demonstrations of proper picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures.
o Reinforce best practices and operational standards through on-the-job coaching.
o Provide refresher training to team members when process updates or efficiency improvements are implemented.
o Assist in ensuring all team members understand client-specific requirements for handling and packaging.
· Inventory & Quality Control:
o Conduct cycle counting and stock reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy.
o Verify the proper handling, storage, and shipment of goods to prevent damage and ensure compliance with quality standards.
o Perform quality inspections on outbound orders to maintain accuracy and minimize errors.
o Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and reporting variances.
· Productivity & Performance Support:
o Work efficiently to meet or exceed productivity benchmarks, such as orders picked/packed per hour.
o Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, locate stock, and update records as needed.
o Follow process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and reduce inefficiencies.
o Provide input on operational improvements and collaborate with the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager on best practices.
· Client Service & Communication:
o Ensure all outbound shipments meet client expectations regarding packaging, labeling, and handling instructions.
o Assist in handling client-specific requests by following detailed instructions provided by the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager.
o Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
· Compliance & Safety:
o Adhere to all safety protocols and operational policies, ensuring a clean and hazard-free work environment.
o Participate in regular safety training and report any safety incidents or hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor.
o Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures, security measures, and regulatory requirements.
