Description POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse activities at our Fremont, Ohio facility, including management of an offsite storage location. This is a hands-on role responsible for inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, carrier coordination, and administrative documentation including bills of lading, invoices, and inventory transfers. The ideal candidate is organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in both a supervisory and working capacity in a small team environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Shipping & Receiving • Oversee all inbound and outbound shipment activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness • Inspect incoming freight for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and document accordingly • Coordinate outbound shipments to meet customer delivery requirements Carrier & Freight Scheduling • Schedule and communicate with LTL, FTL, and dedicated carriers for daily pickup and delivery • Build and maintain carrier relationships; resolve service issues as they arise • Optimize freight scheduling to minimize cost and maximize efficiency Inventory Management • Maintain accurate inventory records for both the primary facility and offsite warehouse location • Perform and coordinate cycle counts and reconciliations • Manage product transfers between locations with proper documentation and system updates • Identify and address discrepancies, overages, and shortages proactively Documentation & Administration • Prepare and process Bills of Lading (BOLs) for all outbound shipments • Generate and manage invoices and purchase-related documentation • Create and maintain inventory transfer records and supporting paperwork • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly filed Team Supervision • Directly supervise 2 warehouse team members; assign tasks, set priorities, and provide day-to-day direction • Support onboarding, training, and performance feedback for direct reports • Foster a safe, organized, and accountable work environment QUALIFICATIONS Required: • 3+ years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role • Demonstrated experience creating BOLs, processing invoices, and managing inventory documentation • Proficiency with scheduling LTL/FTL freight carriers • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Comfortable with warehouse management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred: • Experience managing an offsite or multi-location inventory operation • Familiarity with ERP or WMS systems • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment • Background in food manufacturing, distribution, or production environments
