Description

We are a rapidly growing retail and service business, partnering with leading global consumer electronics brands. Our operations span multiple eCommerce websites and retail stores across the UK.
As part of our continued expansion, we are relocating to a brand-new 41,000 sq ft warehouse facility in NG11, Nottingham. To support this growth and ensure the efficient management of daily warehouse operations, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process. You will be responsible for managing people, processes, logistics, and systems to ensure goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time, while consistently achieving productivity and performance targets.
We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organised, and adaptable individual with exceptional attention to detail to deliver the highest standards of service for our customers.
This role requires strong leadership, the ability to inspire and develop a team, make critical decisions under pressure, and drive continuous operational improvements.
In addition, you will oversee workplace health and safety compliance, while ensuring the security of the warehouse, its people, and all stock held on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory Control – Manage stock levels through our IT systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Carry out cycle counts and annual stock takes to minimise shortages or excess stock of critical components.
  • Process Development – Review and refine warehouse operations, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance overall productivity.
  • Goods In Management – Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming deliveries, ensuring products are correctly allocated, tracked, and stored in the right locations.
  • People Leadership – Supervise and support the warehouse team, allocating tasks, tracking performance, conducting appraisals, and delivering training. Work in partnership with senior managers to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
  • Transport & Logistics – Coordinate with freight partners to arrange inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in full.
  • Operational Standards – Keep the warehouse organised, safe, and well-maintained, ensuring a professional working environment.
  • Safety & Compliance – Promote a strong safety culture, carrying out risk assessments, safety audits, and ensuring all health, safety, and security requirements are met.
  • Warehouse Layout & Space Use – Plan and manage warehouse layouts to make best use of available space and support efficient operations.
