POSITION PURPOSE: Supervisor of warehouse personnel ensures that all functions are performed within the Company, Distribution Center guidelines as outlined in Distribution Center Operations Manual. Functions include shipping, receiving, loading, put away and accuracy checking. Main responsibilities: Control production standards and accuracy of shipments. Maintain daily production and accuracy records. Ensure most economical and efficient use of equipment and personnel to accomplish assigned work. Demonstrate ability to train and motivate employees in process improvements and standard work. Conduct performance and safety observations. Build and maintain good working relationships with Company personnel, Transportation and Procurement departments. Assign associates to jobs and coach towards performance. We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Must possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing and logistics. Prior leadership or proven ability to lead and direct is preferred. Ability to constantly stand, bend twist, squat, kneel required. Willing and able to work very early morning, evening and weekend hours required. Ability to supervise and work with and through others to achieve desired results. Professional and respectful of self and others including cross functional departments. Enthusiasm combined with a hands-on management style. Proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Advanced computer skills to navigate warehouse management & Access data input. · Ability to read and interpret computerized reports. Understanding of safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA and state requirements. Ability to create relations with internal customers through effective communications, proficiency with computerized systems and overall efficiency of warehouse operations. Promptly takes progressive corrective actions with personnel ensuring a productive and effective warehouse operation. Most work is performed under typical warehouse conditions.
