Monkhouse Schoolwear Specialists established in 1938 is one of the country’s largest multi-channel retailers of school uniforms and is part of Banner Ltd the largest manufacturer of school uniforms. To be successful in applying for the job you will need: A minimum of 6 months of experience working within a warehouse and online dispatch facility. Good numeracy skills. Basic Microsoft Office skills, with training provided on all warehouse management systems. Excellent attention to detail. Adhere to and promote warehouse safety practices. Effective communication skills. Your day to day tasks will look like this: Daily pick, pack, and dispatch online orders and deliver to stores. Follow goods in processes. Following workplace health and safety rules when handling goods. Ahere to operational procedures, rules, and schedules. Assisting with warehouse inventory controls, which typically involves using a hand-held scanner. Treating merchandise with care and concern at all times. Working at height and transferring stock from one location to another. Below are 5 things, we want you to build into your day-to-day responsibilities: Switch off lights when the space is not being used. Switch off computers at the end of every day. Dispose of waste responsibly by using our recycling processes. What are my hours? This is a 6 month contract, 40 hours a week, working on a monthly rota system working across Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm. During our peak season (June to September) we require some flexibility on supporting with additional hours depending on the businesses needs. When can I start? Immediately! What’s our location? We are located in Paddock Wood, Kent, with plenty of free parking and good transport links.
