WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will be required to carry out general warehouse duties; including goods in, picking and packing, and completing duties for despatch and inventory as designated by your supervisor.
Day to day activities will include;
 Operating Forklift Trucks within busy warehouse/yard environment
 Loading/unloading vehicles
 To deal with the movement of products and materials within the warehouse, using the appropriate FLT and/or other suitable material handling equipment
 Adopt a ‘clean as you go’ approach to ensure housekeeping standards are effectively maintained
 Carry out duties in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
 Support and train colleagues where necessary, in line with work instructions and standard operating procedures
 Contribute and participate in Company activities
 Carry out additional and/or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business
The ideal candidate must hold a valid Forklift Licence and have previous experience working within a similar role. Applicants should also have;
 The ability to work to deadlines
 Good communication skills
 The ability to work with minimum supervision
 Awareness of current Health & Safety practices
