OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Worker to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations, ensuring that all goods are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving materials handling.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is essential; certification is an advantage.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as AS400 is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques to safely handle large items.
  • Background in construction or mechanical knowledge will be advantageous for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock levels.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
  • Perform stocking duties to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Engage in picking and packing orders accurately for timely dispatch.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment.
