  • Able to work in a flexible, results oriented, team environment.
  • Once trained, operating mobile equipment for e.g., FLT, overhead crane, side loader
  • Able to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out.
  • Gain a great understanding and experience of Environment, Health, and Safety requirements
  • Ability to deliver good customer service.
  • Organised and able to work on own initiative.
  • A clean driving licence or currently learning to drive, due to the location of site.
  • IT skills i.e. word, excel, outlook and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

We are expanding our team and have created a junior role suited to a recent school or college leaver. This is an Apprentice Warehouse Operative role where you will be trained to pick computer generated orders and maintain high levels of health and safety; working across different areas of the business to enhance your knowledge and skills whilst providing excellent customer service and operating within a safe working environment, ensuring full legal compliance

Job role includes:

  • Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items
  • Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock.
  • Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift trucks and cranes
  • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders
  • Keep work area clean and tidy
  • Maintain high levels of Health and Safety
  • Maintain regular contact and ensure any issues are communicated
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements
  • Operate machinery (only when trained to do so)
  • Work across various departments to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Adhere to all apprenticeship KPI’s and fulfil all tasks and any/all briefs and assignments
