ABOUT US

We are a family owned flooring wholesale distribution business based in Milton Keynes, supplying products such as Carpets, Wood, Laminates and LVT and accessories to trade customers. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated Warehouse Operative who is confident working with people as well as handling stock. This role is customer facing and you will be part of the first impression our customers get when visiting our trade counter or collecting goods.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Forklift licence or experience desirable with training available for the right candidate.
  • Confident communicator with good spoken English.
  • Able to build rapport with customers and represent the business professionally.
  • Numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Physically fit and able to lift flooring products, some products weigh over 30 kg.
  • Motivated, organised and able to work under pressure.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Warehouse Operative, you will work as part of a small, friendly team to ensure our warehouse runs smoothly and customers receive excellent service. You will handle goods in and out, maintain a safe and organised warehouse, and support trade customers in person. From assisting with collections at the trade counter to occasional delivery driving, this role has plenty of variety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unload deliveries from suppliers and complete relevant paperwork.
  • Support customers at the trade counter with collections and product queries.
  • Perform general warehouse duties including picking, packing and stock handling.
  • Keep the warehouse safe, tidy and compliant with health and safety procedures.
  • Take care to minimise damage and ensure all stock is stored securely and in good condition.

Ensure all Company/Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times

  • Assist with stock control, supplier returns and customer returns.
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Occasionally deliver goods using a company Sprinter van.
