We’re looking for a reliable, proactive Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing stock, handling materials, and assisting with shipping and receiving tasks ensuring our engineering teams have what they need when they need it. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment handling.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 15 kg) as required by the role.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate customers fulfilment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety standards.
  • Forklift licence (desirable not essential)

Responsibilities
  • Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels effectively.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling and proper storage.
  • Engage in materials handling, including sorting, packing, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Utilise CRM software for inventory management and order processing.
  • Perform picking and packing duties accurately to fulfil Engineer requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying shipments against packing slips.
  • Assist Operations Manager to conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of inventory records and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets as well as communicating with suppliers and delivery drivers.
