JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for providing an excellent contribution to the team whilst maintaining a positive outlook. This will include:
· You have a duty to take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work. You must co-operate with employers and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements.
· Keep the warehouse tidy, surrounding area clean and tidy at all times, so it’s a safe environment to work in.
· Open industrial estate gates for deliveries and collections. This can be between 10 to 20 deliveries per day.
· At the end of each working day, clean your workstation and empty warehouse bins.
· Have a general knowledge of the Empire product range.
· Processing orders which are passed from sales whilst understanding despatch timelines.
· Using Empire IT system for labelling, packing and despatching products to customers.
· Booking TNT shipments daily.
· Communicate with delivery drivers and end user customers notifying delivery times.
· Storing the goods into the designated areas within the factory.
· Maintaining stock levels, documentation and cleaning.
· Using Empire IT system to book stock in and out.
· Safely follow manual handling procedures Operate handling equipment safely and efficiently including pump trucks and forklift trucks.
· Safely loading and unloading consignments from delivery drivers.
· Manufacturing / Assembling wooden boxes for despatching equipment.
There will be an opportunity for the role to develop into Engineering aspects of the business whilst maintaining the above tasks associated with the warehouse.
Development areas will include:
· Evaluating return pumps by dissembling and troubleshooting the reason of failure.
· Identifying the spare parts which are required for the repair and reassembling the pump.
· Creating a technical engineering report detailing the diagnostics of failure.
· Telecom’s with customers discussing the reason and failure, offering vital customer support.
· Site visits to collect pumps and deliver repaired pumps using the company van.
· Site visits to complete installations with the Operations Manager.

. Safely using power tools provided to complete necessary tasks.
. Using ladders and steps in a safe manner.
. Wiring up electrical motors to test pumps.
. Testing different types of pumps on the test tank.
· Performance testing and recording parameters for each product type
· Maintenance and repair to pumps and filtration systems
