Carleton Cakes are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative in our busy bakery based in Cootehill, Co. Cavan.
We are seeking an experienced warehouse operative who has worked in food manufacturing with knowledge of receiving and dispatching deliveries, completing paperwork and allergen control. The successful candidate will be someone who works well in a team and is able to thrive under pressure in a busy, fast-paced stores environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Receiving, inspecting and dispatching deliveries & completing relevant paperwork
  • Ensuring that safe loading/unloading procedures are followed
  • Working as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
  • Meeting high quality standards including allergen control
  • Maintaining warehouse standards including health & safety & stock control
  • Be available for flexible early/late shift starts; 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in warehousing/stores operations
  • Must have own transport
  • Be able to communicate fluently in English (written & verbal)
  • Valid manual handling certificate
  • Hold a valid reach truck and counterbalance forklift license
  • General computer skills including Excel
