WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT/FORKLIFT DRIVER

We are Hampshire based creative furniture company designing and manufacturing commercial furniture within the UK. We are currently a team of 60 with ambitious growth plans.
Rawside design and manufacture high quality furniture for the contract market. Most of our customers are within the UK but we have recently completed a number of successful projects in Europe and expect to expand these markets. Our environmental credentials are a key part of our business and having recently been certified as a BCorp business we are keen to improve our positive impact on the environment, our community and our team.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an organised and motivated warehouse assistant and Forklift driver to join our team. You will be responsible for carefully picking products and components, packing and palletising in the safest and most economical way for shipping. The ideal candidate would be fit and healthy, comfortable working on their feet, a good communicator and has very good counterbalance forklift, stacker and reach truck experience.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Physically able to carry out above duties in a safe manner.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Previous use and certification for driving counterbalanced, stacker and/or reach forklift trucks
  • Basic but competent level of IT knowledge in order to be able to use PC terminal
  • Ability to be able to read and understand drawings and picking lists
Responsibilities
  • Learn products and components, check picking lists, pick, sort, organise and pack shipments
  • Communicate with your colleagues to ensure jobs are packed safely, carefully and efficiently and in time for shipping.
  • Load vehicles from Luton to Articulated vehicles.
  • Work as an active team member to complete team goals
