Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

Assist in the daily function of the finished goods and raw materials warehouses including unloading and processing of raw materials for use in production and the loading of customer’s orders, whilst adhering to company standards, systems and procedures. Assisting warehouse teams for finished goods and raw material warehouses ensuring all deadlines are met, all administrative functions are completed while complying with company health & safety guidelines and corporate standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Booking in and managing drivers arriving on site
  • Unloading raw material deliveries and handling raw materials
  • Booking raw materials onto ERP system
  • Daily picking of customers’ orders, ensuring that all pallets are wrapped and labelled to the Newly Weds Foods (NWF) standards
  • Loading of vehicles
  • Processing delivery paperwork and ensuring all warehouse documentation is completed daily
  • Material Handling from Production functions
  • Ensuring warehouses are kept clean and tidy and cleaning schedules are completed in a timely manner
  • Liaising with Production and Food Safety and Quality departments
  • Report any issues observed relating to Quality, Safety, Sanitation, Machinery or Throughput to your immediate line manager
  • Ensure that all tasks are conducted safely, adhering to NWF Health & Safety Regulations working in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and to follow all company procedures. Report any Near Miss or Accidents to a your immediate line manager
  • Coordination of warehouse teams daily duties
  • Liaising with QA to ensure goods are realised in time for despatch
  • Daily completion of goods in and goods out schedule reporting any discrepancies to logistics team
  • GMP standards to be met daily
  • Forklift Truck downtime reporting
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and procedures
  • Adherer to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Manage storage capacities in line with daily business requirements
  • Prioritise and maintain stock integrity keeping picking inaccuracies and damages to a minimum
  • Perform additional duties as commensurate with role
