About the role Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavoring and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy. 160 Terminal Ave, Clark, NJ 07066 Warehouse operative is a first shift opportunity. Monday to Friday, some Saturday's 630AM to 230PM Key responsibilities Warehouse Operative Primary Purpose Responsible for moving materials efficiently and timely for manufacturing and warehouse operations. Maintain accurate inventory records during movement of materials throughout the facility. Prepare Finished Goods Orders for Shipment to Customers in line with shipping requirements. Essential Functions/Responsibilities 1. Supply manufacturing with materials on a demand basis. 2. Remove materials from production for storage and for orders. 3. Maintain GMP's and complete functions on the sanitation schedule. 4. Move and rearrange inventory as instructed for consolidation, organization, and efficiency. 5. Move new materials and inventory into proper stock locations 5. Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner. 6. Using RF Scanners to move inventory to and from locations throughout the facility. 7. Following the instructions on the worksheets for order preparation properly label, scan, seal, palletize and wrap product so that it meets customer specifications and can be transported safely and without damages. 8. Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures 9. Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF Systems manual. Must report all deviations to a member of management and QA- and set product aside until further instructed. 10. Other duties assigned by Management Qualifications and skills Minimum Requirements High school or equivalent. Knowledge and experience to operate a forklift. Ability to read and write in English. Ability to see to read labels. Ability to perform basic math computations. Basic computer skills. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and move up to 500 lbs. Must be able to walk throughout the warehouse / plant and sit to operate a forklift. Working Environment Factory environment with exposure to flavor and basic product chemicals and raw materials Warehouse and manufacturing environment subject to extreme weather conditions at times. Compensation The pay rate for this position is $21.41 per hour.
