JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to materials handling, stocking, and shipping & receiving. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment is advantageous.
  • Experience with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels and movements.
  • Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse.
  • Perform picking & packing duties, preparing orders for shipment accurately and promptly.
  • Load & unload goods from lorries, ensuring that all items are handled safely to prevent damage.
  • Assist in shipping & receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory management tasks as required.
  • Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of warehouse equipment when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational targets.
