Description

A Warehouse Operative with previous delivery driver experience is needed for an immediate start at Recoturbo in Leicester LE4 1AA; 22.5 hours a week, 12 month contract including a probationary period of 3 months with possible move to permanent contract after 12 months.

Responsibilities

LOCATION OF THE ROLE:

Leicester, LE4
You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a range of goods.
Responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, you’ll work alongside the warehouse team, utilising processes and systems in order to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately, and that productivity targets are met.
When driving duties are required, you will be provided with a modern vehicle that you will be expected to check every day for defects and drive in accordance to the law and in a courteous manner.
You will have to handle cash from time to time and complete paperwork for every delivery and collection.
As a representative of Recoturbo Ltd, we expect you to be kind, considerate, helpful and present yourself to a high standard to our customers and suppliers.
You will be responsible for any fines you incur whilst driving our vehicle, including parking, bus lane and speeding fines. You will also be expected to contribute towards the insurance excess if you have an accident that is deemed to be your fault.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will need to:

  • liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies
  • coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods
  • use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently, making sure quality, budgetary targets and environmental objectives are met
  • have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these
  • coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary
  • respond to and deal with communication by email and telephone
  • keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate
  • plan future capacity requirements
  • motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the team to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • brief with teams on a daily basis
  • maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals are stored safely
  • where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems.
  • Goods in duties, including receiving goods, checking the accuracy and quality of all goods, making sure all stock is labelled and stored correctly.
  • Goods out duties, including picking, ensuring the correct parts, labels, invoicing, and packing.
  • Locating stock.
  • Assisting with loading and unloading.
  • Compliance with health and safety.
  • Working to company policies and procedures.
  • Keeping the area of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
