ABOUT US:

Samac Fixings Ltd is a leading national distributor of fixings based in the Wickford, Essex area. Established in 2004 we supply a comprehensive range of nails, screws and associated products to the building, roofing, timber & fencing merchants across the UK.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Counterbalance license (we do not accept in house licences)
Good communication skills.
Ability to prioritize workload
Previous knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
Attention to detail.
Access to mobile phone for clocking in/out & holiday application.
Must be able to routinely lift boxes up to 25kg.
Working at Height & Using Ladders.
Basic knowledge of Health & Safety.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a trustworthy, reliable, team player.

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Full drivers licence.
Previous experience in a fixings warehouse

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Working primarily with our stock control and goods in teams, ensuring stock is adequately replenished and warehouses maintained. Assisting other department where necessary, ensuring continued high output for all warehouse departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Replenishing stock continually to a satisfactory level
Warehouse maintenance (ensuring clear stock locations and a tidy warehouse)
Checking in stock accurately
Performing stock checks when necessary
Working across multiple sites and departments
Assisting Packers with heavy lifting
Identifying & reporting location errors.
Moving stock between departments.
Providing warehouse cover for other departments when necessary
Regular communication with other warehouse teams
Other ad-hoc warehouse duties.
