Working hours: 37.5 per week
Working pattern: Rotating early and late shifts - weekly
Early Shift – Monday to Friday, 06:00am to 14:00pm
Late Shift – Monday to Thursday 14:00pm to 22:30pm, Fridays 14:00pm to 20:00pm
Starting salary: £12.21 per hour (+ £1 per hour shift premium)

Professional experience

• Excellent attention to detail (Mandatory)
• A good team player and able to work as part of a team (Mandatory)
• Willingness to work rotating Shifts (Mandatory)
• Previous Warehouse experience (Desirable but not essential due to full training being provided)
• Computer literate (Desirable)
• Excellent time keeping and attendance (Mandatory)
• Self-motivated, possessing problem solving skills (Mandatory)
• The ability to achieve targets and timescales (Mandatory)
• Organised and methodical (Mandatory)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Mandatory)
• FLT – Reach / Roller truck license (Desirable but full training can be provided)
• Physically fit with the ability to lift light / heavy objects repetitively (Mandatory)
• Able to work independently during the working day (Mandatory)
• Right to work in the UK (Mandatory)

SUMMARY OF ROLE

We currently have a vacancy in our warehouse and distribution department for an immediate start. The position will be working on a rotating shift basis consisting of an early shift and late shift. We are looking for a hard-working individual who is seeking a permanent full-time position in a reputable company. The business can be fast paced and therefore we are looking for a candidate with stamina and energy. An enthusiastic, friendly, and positive attitude is essential to work within a close-knit team. Responsibilities:

• To be able to communicate effectively and work with team leaders to plan activities.
• Monitoring orders to meet customer requirements.
• Complete relevant paperwork and administration to Selden Research procedures.
• Progression onto VNA Turret trucks to offer vital support to our high bay warehouse facility.
• Monitoring storage of product in the correct location.
• Ensuring a high level of general housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
• Recognition of products and SKU’s.
• Understanding bar codes and batch numbers of products to minimise stock losses and rotation.
• Adhere to manual handling requirements.
• Observe Health & Safety control at all times.
• Order picking using mobile barcode scanners and electric roller trucks.
• Daily picking and loading of allocated stock for company works orders
