Description

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operatives ( Fixed Term Contracts ) based at our Blaenavon site, for the following shift:

  • AM 06:30 - 14:30
  • PM 14:00 - 22:00 ( 10% shift)
  • Nights 22:00 - 06:00 ( 15% shift )
  • 10:00 - 18:00

Hourly rate is £12.36 plus shift allowance

Responsibilities
  • Responsible to Warehouse management team for the effective, checking and booking in of raw materials and packaging, in line with AFF standards and requirements.
  • Ensuring correct information {i.e. batch numbers, use by dates, product details} and correctly displayed on supplier paperwork and internal paperwork.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of Warehousing as and when required to do so.
  • Ensuring loading and unloading procedures are correctly adhered to.
  • Appropriate location of stock, within warehouse. Ensuring correct date rotation and control of this stock adhered to.
  • Issue stock to production lines, and packaging lines, adhering to internal standards and Quality system.
  • Issue stock to third party warehousing adhering to internal standards department procedures and Quality system.
  • Conduct daily counts and reconciliation of raw materials and packaging.
  • Competency using internal SI system and use of RF equipment.
  • Use of internal manual handling equipment, once trained and signed off as competent by either internal or external bodies.
  • Cooperation with both internal departments, and external suppliers
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or Higher (desirable)
  • IT Literate
  • Good Level of Maths
  • Good Level of written and spoken English
  • Understanding of food manufacturing processes
