OVERVIEW

May work in a range of operations functions in a warehouse or depot, in stock handling, forklift driving, mixing, blending, filling and other operations, as assigned by supervisor in charge.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience of working within the chemical industry (desirable)
  • Forklift Truck license
  • H&S experience
  • Flexible and able to work within a team
  • Able to follow H&S procedures and standards
  • Able to communicate well with customers, suppliers, depots, and other employees

Responsibilities
  • Receive deliveries of supplies and ensure safe handling and storage to laid down operational procedures.
  • Load vehicles of supplies and ensure safe handling and dispatch to laid down operational procedures.
  • Contribute to the safe handling and storage of chemical products to ensure compliance with legislation and operational requirements.
  • Filling of packed products following operational procedures.
  • To pick and prepare materials for blending of products as detailed in operational procedures.
  • Building loads to meet customer and depot orders.
  • Contribute to the safe and efficient running of the yard and warehouses.
  • Applying general housekeeping at all times.
  • Carrying out any reasonable task after adequate training, related to the post assigned by a line manager.
