Job Title: Warehouse Operator II Location: Round Rock, TX (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract (Temp-to-Perm) Shift: Training: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST | Post-Training: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM CST Pay Rate: $25/hr (W2) (Inclusive all) Position Overview The Warehouse Operator 2 / Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in managing inventory and supporting supply chain operations within a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate inventory tracking, proper material handling, regulatory compliance, and timely shipping/receiving operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operational setting. Key Responsibilities 1. Inventory Management & Control Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure proper storage of materials Perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies Investigate and resolve inventory variances Manage expired, damaged, or non-conforming materials Maintain accurate records of inventory locations and transactions 2. Receiving & Material Handling Execute end-to-end receiving process: Match packing slips with purchase orders Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and quality Tag, label, and store materials appropriately Post inventory receipts into warehouse management systems Issue materials to internal teams and manage returns (RMA) Ensure timely delivery of materials to end users 3. Shipping & Distribution Prepare and ship finished goods, samples, and materials Ensure compliance with DOT and IATA regulations for hazardous materials Manage order processing, shipment documentation, and invoicing Maintain stock levels in distribution areas Coordinate with customer service and operations for special shipping requirements 4. Compliance, Safety & Quality Adhere to cGMP, regulatory, and safety standards Follow company policies and procedures for chemical handling Maintain required certifications and training Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Ensure a safe and compliant work environment 5. Operational Support & Process Improvement Support safety stock management for consumables (e.g., packaging materials) Assist in documenting processes and improving operational workflows Participate in cross-training across departments Collaborate with internal teams to enhance efficiency and quality Qualifications & Requirements Education High School Diploma (Required) Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (Preferred), especially in: Supply Chain Business Logistics Related field Experience Experience in: Warehouse operations Inventory control Material handling or distribution Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or regulated environments is a plus Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems preferred Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong organizational and time management skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Self-motivated with a proactive mindset Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Standing/walking for 75% of the workday Frequent bending and movement required Work Environment Chemical manufacturing / warehouse setting Exposure to chemicals requiring PPE Safety-focused and compliance-driven environment Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
