We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Stores Operator to join our production team in Stevenage (SG1). This role supports the efficient receipt, storage, and movement of goods, ensuring accurate inventory control and timely preparation of orders for production. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain smooth operations and a safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and stock control
• Basic IT skills (MS Office, stock management systems)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience with EPICOR system
• Relevant qualifications in warehousing or logistics

• Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying delivery notes and purchase orders
• Record deliveries and maintain accurate inventory using warehouse systems
• Store goods correctly, ensuring proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO)
• Conduct regular inventory checks, cycle counts, and support audits
• Kit and prepare orders for production
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding delivery issues
