Description

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Warehouse Operative (with a counterbalance license) to help ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand. You’ll be based at our site on Normanton Industrial Estate, a short drive from junction 31 of the M62. Onsite parking is available.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You are an experienced warehouse operative who is used to undertaking the types of warehouse duties as outlined above. You must have a counterbalance fork truck operator license and recent FLT experience, as well as a current UK driving license as we’ll need you to go to/from our other warehouse in Normanton on occasions. Ideally, we would also like you to be able to offer pre-production or production operative experience and any such experience in the print sector could be of particular interest.

You will:

  • Need to be numerate, IT literate and able to use email (Outlook).
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills including an excellent telephone manner.
  • Be someone that pays attention to detail.
  • Be a great team player with a can-do attitude that takes pride in their work.
  • Be superbly organised, have a flexible approach to work and be keen and willing to learn.
Responsibilities

This is a varied role. The warehouse part of the job includes: vehicle loading and unloading, sorting and placing goods in the warehouse, stock checking, correct picking, packing and labelling of stock, and warehouse housekeeping.

On the pre-production side, you’ll be involved in activities including:

  • Ensuring the timely supply of material required for the next print job and placing it in the pre-production area.
  • Assisting machine operators with the replacement of worn machine parts.
  • Cleaning, storing and cataloguing removeable machine parts.
  • Actively taking part in team meetings and contributing in relation to pre-production matters.
