Description Job purpose Responsible for unloading, inspecting, receiving, tagging, locating/scanning all incoming product. Duties and responsibilities Maintain a neat and clean work area. Unload and stage incoming freight at dock area. Inspect and note any visible damages or shortages on freight bill or discrepancy report prior to Freight Company leaving notify operations and account coordinator of any shortage or damage. Match packing list or freight bill to # of pieces taken off truck. Completely uncrate and pad any furniture that was open due to physical damage to carton. Receive product in Hedberg. print labels for non-Steelcase product. Tag all non-Steelcase product. Locate product in racks and scan all labels. Print warehouse holding report to verify if any product is left in holding daily. Assist Operations Manager with relocation of RPA product. Carefully unload and handle product Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma Valid Driver License required. Must understand how to read product labels for multiple product lines and vendors. Tow motor certification preferred. Working conditions Work in a warehouse that does not have air conditioning. Must be able to be on their feet the majority of working of the day. Physical requirements This position is a physically demanding position that requires light (20 pounds) to very heavy lifting (excessive of 100 pounds) daily. It requires frequent bending, squatting, reaching, twisting body, or lifting. Hearing to perceive the nature of sounds for the installed equipment, far and near sightedness and finger dexterity to manipulate products and read blueprints and packaging slips.
