My client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Batteries & associated products trading for over 115 years, supplying leading brands to the Automotive, Plant, Marine & Leisure, Traffic Management, Renewable, Aerial Equipment, Motive Power, Agriculture and other industry sectors.
They are looking to expand their team and are looking to recruit a full time, permanent Sales Assistant/Delivery Driver/StoresPerson
The Leigh battery centre supports a wide variety of customers in numerous trades and the position to be filled will be equally as varied as no two days will be the same; the position is ideal for individuals seeking an opportunity to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
The duties include…….
· Stores/Warehouse duties to include stock rotation, charging stock, putting deliveries away, maintaining a good level of warehouse cleanliness, picking goods for deliveries and labelling stock.
· Customer service/Sales duties will also be required, this will include serving customers on the sales counter, answering the telephone and processing orders.
. · Delivering batteries and associated products across the Leigh battery centres patch as & when required and maintaining, keeping the company van clean.

DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL)

• An understanding of the Lead-Acid battery market would be advantageous
• Previous experience of working with the trade and/or public in a customer facing role
• Knowledge within CRM systems, Stock control systems and Sage accounting software
• Experience of using an electric pallet stacker or forklift
