Our Alton location needs a hands-on team player who can keep things moving smoothly in the warehouse while also stepping up to help customers find great deals on the floor. Position Overview This is a hybrid role that combines physical warehouse work with customer-facing sales support. You’ll unload trucks, assemble and tag furniture, keep the store organized, and step in to assist customers when the showroom is busy. You’re the kind of person who can switch gears easily — from tightening bolts on a dresser to helping a family pick out a new sofa. Key Responsibilities Unload trucks safely and efficiently, checking in and organizing inventory. Assemble, tag, and display furniture on the showroom floor. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and sales floor. Assist customers with product information, pricing, and financing options when needed. Support deliveries and load-outs, ensuring accuracy and care. Communicate with the sales and warehouse team to keep everything running smoothly. Report damaged items or shortages promptly. What we're looking for Reliable, hard-working, and physically capable of lifting furniture. Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills for checking stock and ringing sales. Friendly, professional attitude with good communication skills. Comfortable switching between warehouse and customer-facing duties. Detail-oriented and takes pride in keeping the space clean and organized. Previous retail or warehouse experience is helpful, but not required.
