Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Warehouse Senior Assistant will perform the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of parts and equipment needed for commercial refrigerator repairs. This role is essential in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing workflow, and supporting the service team by ensuring timely access to necessary tools and supplies.

  • Perform all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing parts and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock audits, and execute inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure timely and efficient distribution of parts for scheduled repairs.
  • Respect warehouse safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
  • When requested, coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain and manage warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
  • Assist in logistics planning, including tracking shipments and optimizing storage space.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the service team, vendors, and business partners.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or inventory control.
  • Experience managing inventory in a service-based or technical industry is a plus
  • Forklift certification and experience with warehouse management software.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations.

  • Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors and customers/clients.
  • Must be able to use office equipment including telephones, computers, fax and copier machines.
