JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid background in warehouse management, logistics, and team management. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient processes, maintaining safety standards, and driving continuous improvement within the team.
The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 2pm until 10pm

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and equipment, including forklifts.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively.
  • Mechanical knowledge is preferred to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by operational demands.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational efficiency.
  • Manage a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Oversee materials handling processes, including shipping & receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to optimise workflow and reduce operational costs.
  • Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for inventory control and tracking of shipments.
  • Coordinate logistics activities, ensuring effective communication between departments and external partners.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain mechanical knowledge and ensure proper functioning.
  • Facilitate heavy lifting operations while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
