MMIS Mondo is a producer of quality spice blends and technical units/ingredients for the food industry. Our specialty is as a supplier for the meat and dairy industries.
Job Summary Role of Shipper / Receiver: We are seeking a dedicated Shipper/Receiver to join our team. In this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring efficient shipping and receiving operations. You will safely and accurately process, ship, and receive all incoming and outgoing orders under the supervision of management contributing to our mission of providing exceptional service to the food industry.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, additional time maybe required to complete aspects of role.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Self motivated individual with ability to work extended periods independently
  • Excellent communication and great numerical skills (oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Able to stand multiple hours throughout the day
  • Ability to lift 50 - 75 lbs. repetitively
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Microsoft Windows required
Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations.
  • Pulling orders based on pick slips (remove required products from shelves, etc.)
  • Package goods as needed, parts into boxes, boxes onto skids, wrap, or seal.
  • Print address labels as needed for boxes to ship to customer.
  • Prepare waybill forms for transport companies.
  • Schedule transport companies and load trucks.
  • Receive goods as they come into the building.
  • Check all boxes, packages and skids for damaged goods and record on incoming waybill / complete complementary receiving logs.
  • Count all products received and list on receiving reports, with description, quantities and any noted shortages, etc.
  • Filling out shipping and receiving logs.
  • Complete sanitation, and pre-operational logs as needed
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading products.
  • Inspection of reach truck and motorized pallet truck - reach truck training provided but experience is an asset.
  • Gather garbage and recycling from warehouse and office
  • Sweep/Vacuum warehouse, dust and keep tidy
  • Keep warehouse organized

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working safely with specific equipment and observing all safety rules and procedures
  • Following all food health and safety regulations
  • Following allergen procedures - keep allergens separate from non-allergen products, avoiding cross contamination
  • Hair net (and beard net if applicable) must be worn in casing and ingredient production areas
  • Cleaning on scheduled basis, according to GMP and SQF procedure
  • Notifying supervisor of any noted safety hazard to ensure a safe work environment
