The Shipping Lead plays a key role in supporting outbound shipping operations by assisting the team in accurately staging, verifying, and preparing outgoing orders for delivery or customer pickup. While not a decision-making or supervisory role, the Shipping Lead helps maintain workflow, keeps daily tasks on track, and serves as a resource for team members by leading through example. Requirements Minimum Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, shipping, or distribution environment Basic computer proficiency (email, scanning tools, shipping systems) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a physically active environment Ability to lead by example and promote a positive, team-first mindset Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with plumbing, irrigation, or construction-related products Prior experience in a lead, senior, or team support role within a warehouse or shipping setting Experience using ERP or shipping software systems Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
