WANTED: WAREHOUSE/SHOP MANAGER

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse/Shop Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow and maintaining a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role
  • Familiarity with warehouse distribution practices and order fulfillment processes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50lbs as required by the job duties
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the shop, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity
  • Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading of materials
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and compliance with purchase orders. Unpack and verify materials, and ensure that all documentation (e.g., packing slips, bills of lading) is complete and accurate, and immediately report any discrepancies
  • Manage stock levels, orders, and deliveries
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and stock rotation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse/shop environment
  • Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and order fulfillment
  • Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pump trucks
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and yard to ensure a safe working environment
  • Follow safety protocols and report any hazards or maintenance needs
