Required Skills and Competencies: Build custom crates and pallets according to job specifications. Load materials and shipments into package processing equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling, staging, and verification of materials/shipments. Clean containers, materials, supplies, and work areas to maintain organization and safety standards. Record product, packaging, and shipment information accurately on designated forms and logs. Measure, weigh, and count materials and shipments to ensure accuracy for forwarding requirements. Lay out dimensions on materials using a ruler, measuring tape, and pencil. Cut materials to size using appropriate hand and power saws. Assemble materials using various tools and secure them inside containers or crates for transport. Build shipping crates and prepare shipments, including applying labels, documentation, and any required export packaging specifications. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times. Follow all trash disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with PWS standards. Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and shifting duties. Education and Experience Requirements: 1+ year of woodworking experience. Experience using tape measures, nail guns, and power tools. Experience with material handling in a warehouse or similar environment. Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Ability to follow all safety guidelines, including wearing steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and safety vests while in warehouse areas. Ability to successfully complete TSA and U.S. Customs background screening processes and required training. Basic computer skills for recording information and accessing shipment data. Ability to operate a forklift is a plus. What We Offer Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
