Description

Description The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing and shipping of client goods in Dachser USA warehouses. Responsible for coordination of receiving incoming goods, storing goods, picking/packing goods, releasing goods from storage and loading goods for transport. Performs common warehouse tasks, such as cleaning the warehouse, performing common building maintenance & safety checks of equipment. Operates a forklift according to safety requirements. Accounts for warehouse inventory by making accounting entries using Dachser internal operating systems and methods. Collaborates with all departments within the branch and the company at large, as necessary. Performs other duties as required and assigned. Requirements High school diploma or its equivalent. 1 year of experience working in a warehouse setting preferred. 1 year of freight forwarding or logistics experience preferred. Prior experience operating a forklift. Valid forklift certification preferred. Experience in working with Radio Data Driven Warehouse Management Environment preferred. Demonstrated language proficiency (oral, comprehension and written) in English. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ Work Environment: No heavy lifting is expected; although exertion of up to 20 pounds of force may be required on occasion. Manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment, such as computers, copiers, fax machines, etc. Sitting for extended periods of time is common. Hearing and vision within average range to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. This position is performed in a traditional office setting.
