At our local office in Edmonton, Alberta we design and manufacture electrical equipment: Low Voltage Motor Control Centers and Switchboards. The plant is growing and increasing its capacity to satisfy the customer demand.
The Edmonton plant is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Plant team as “Warehouse Specialist”. We are looking for an individual specialized in manufacturing flow and warehouse processes including material process flow standardization, warehouse design, warehouse data architecture, ergonomics in material handling, capacity, simulation tools, cost analysis and Logistics performance.

Responsibilities:
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Responsible for the performance of the warehouse capability
- Ensure optimized functioning of the warehouse and achieving maximum efficiency & space utilization: inboud, putaway, outbound.
- Develop warehouse design by layout implementation, product flow, and product handling systems.
- Adopt lean concepts to streamline processes to achieve process flow efficiency.
- Define process and methodology for warehousing operations, including reception, storage, order preparation (kitting process) and shipments according to operational excellence principle.
- Streamline material movement between warehouse and 3PL
- Define, Measure and analyze warehousing performance (Logistics KPI)
- Lead continuous improvement projects in the Warehouse and for the Production flows
- Manage projects to design and optimize warehousing processes.
- Heavily involved with SAP implementation and setup activities.
- Define Warehouse data strategy to facilitate material flow and stocking policy
- Enable and facilitate inventory strategy and accuracy
Qualifications:
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE?
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 5 years of warehouse design/optimization experience.
- Experience / education
- With line architecture design (LADM), warehouse design (WADM) and industrial scenarios to meet Safety/Quality/Lead Times and productivity requirements
- Capacity management / analysis of a production line
- Lean Manufacturing methodology
- Proficient in data analysis.
- Proficient Microsoft Skills and SAP.
- Knowledge of Database systems (SQL, Tableau, etc.).
