Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse environment with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and warehouse best practices.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic IT applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights as part of warehouse duties.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
To lead and supervise the warehouse team to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate handling of goods, maintaining high standards of productivity, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the warehouse team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly operational targets.
  • Plan and allocate work effectively to ensure smooth warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits in collaboration with inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular team briefings, performance reviews, and training sessions to develop team skills and knowledge.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on team performance, stock levels, and operational issues for management.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Manage and resolve team conflicts or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and disciplinary processes as required.
  • Promote a positive working environment encouraging teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
