INVENTORY CONTROL TECHNICIAN (STOCK CHECKER: WAREHOUSE BASED)

As the world’s largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics, we store, prepare, and move food-based products for a variety of customers, from major retailers to schools, hospitals, and restaurants.
To support customer demand, we are currently seeking an additional Inventory Control Technician (Stock Checkers) at our automated Bristol depot.
For this role you will be required to drive a 360 High Reach Forklift Truck. Experience of driving a Reach Truck is advantageous.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Experience driving a High Reach Forklift Truck is advantageous.
  • Has previous experience in stock control.
  • Previous experience of warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Connect, SAP, AS400 system is desirable but not essential. A willingness to learn is a must as these systems can be taught.
  • Is computer literate, with a confident ability to use Microsoft Office packages.
  • Has excellent organisation and administration skills.
  • Is a confident communicator, able to work well within a team.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in Cold environment. We will of course provide full PPE so you are safe and warm!
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through daily cycle counts, claims management, and regular audits.
  • Manage data and documentation for ordering, receiving, storing, and shipping products.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and identify replenishment needs to ensure smooth operations.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, damages, and shrinkage, and recommend actions as needed.
  • Verify product and shipping details using system references and ensure correct IDs and substitutes are used.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with company policies
