Description Meyer Distributing is looking for a Zone Lead to join our Jasper team. Meyer Distributing is a complete wholesale distributor: automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more. The Zone Lead will be responsible to lead a 10-member crew, ensuring transfer trailers depart on time, with highest quality and consistency. The Zone lead must possess effective delegation skills and be a servant leader, constantly monitoring their zone and ensuring a good flow of operations. Pay: Up to $20/hr based on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 3:00 pm Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Ability to engage in repetitious bending and lifting Ability to operate Forklift or Manlift (cherry picker) Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months Must be able to work up to 25 feet above ground level Must not be afraid of heights Job Duties include but are not limited to: Set the example for perfect attendance and positive work ethic. Lead daily Tier-1 team huddle. Present daily reports and metrics for the Tier-2 huddle. Ensure assigned zone is setup correctly (skids, small parts, banding machine, tags, BOLs etc.) before beginning of shift Ensure assigned zone is clean at end of every shift. Effectively manage team to disperse and stack skids with product. Maintain 5S scores Maintain, and assist in developing SOPs Train and ensure team members are updated on process changes and document the same. Maintain quality of assigned hardware (Zebra Printers, scanners) Assist 2nd shift supervisor with associate assessments. Lead team to achieve identified metrics-On time dispatch, LOT, Load Snap shot, FATL, Cartoning % etc. Monitor team member schedules and assist 2nd Shift supervisor as necessary Bin management / inventory exceptions/ stock check / check off trucks at the end of each night. All other duties assigned
